good luck chuck
It’s been some time since last I posted, three days I think, during which time I’ve attended to the great questions of our time: is the globe really warming, should we boycott the Olympics, why Jessica Alba agreed to be in “Good Luck Chuck” and of course: whether one can grammatically include two colons in the same sentence.
The answer to that last one is pretty clear - you might be able to, but I can’t.
Where was I? Ah yes, just getting warmed up.
Since the last post, much of eastern Melbourne has been walked, mainly by a bunch of four amazing girls but also by Clarkey and his Muttley Crew, who seem to have set some sort of land-speed record along the way.
My athletic achievements have been far more pedestrian.
In fact, on Friday, there were almost no athletic activities at all. I packed my bag in the 5am dark, as I am wont to do, and managed to include two towels, two shirts, two pairs of socks but absolutely nothing in the way of shorts. So running had to wait until that night, where things are a bit less visible.
Today I toddled out for 27km in just under two hours. I would normally be impressed with myself, but it hardly seems worth mentioning. I can hear Clarkey saying “Come talk to me when you’ve run 77km, buddy.”
Quite.
